WE WILL NOT BOW DOWN

On the plains of Dura stood a tremendous golden statue set against the backdrop of Nebuchadnezzar's growing might and burgeoning empire. Like most governors, presidents, and senators who've had a few good years in the spotlight, Nebuchadnezzar had drifted into the conviction that he was god and that the populace would do well to obey and even worship him. Thus, at an appointed time each day, the population would come out, taking a knee with the exuberance of Colin Kaepernick, pledging undying fealty to the postulate that the state, of course, is god.

According to old Nebby, anyone who would not join the throng of "useful idiots" bowing down like golden retrievers before a new bone would become an enemy of the state. That outcome would entail being transported to the execution chamber faster than the Q'anon shaman became the face of J6 agitators. But, instead of a holding cell for rogue grandmothers that stormed the capitol, if you defied President Nezzar's orders, you would be chunked into the fiery furnace, where your body would be burned until you perished. The point of the whole ritual was to ratchet the pressure high enough to get the average person to trade in their freedoms for securities, which has been the consistent game of big daddy government for thousands of years and continues up to this very day.

Yet, among the horde of sycophants groveling like Bill Clinton at the feet of Jefferey Epstein, three men of valor (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) dared defy the unholy mandate and would not bow down. Their defiance wasn't just an act of rebellion; it was an act of worship. It was a declaration that their allegiance belonged to God alone and that they were willing to stand for Him, even if that meant certain death. And, if you know the story, you will know that those three men were not heralded for their virtue but were viciously thrown into the furnace to meet their doom. Except that God had already decided to deliver them and did deliver them, to the bewilderment of everyone standing there on that great day.

Now, without pressing this scene too far, I do believe it is helpful for us in our context. Today, the shiny statues look slightly different, but the government-sponsored pressure campaign remains the same. In the very recent past, you would be thrown out of polite society if you refused to wear a face diaper or get an experimental jab. The great Orwellian prophet of a statue called "the science" said so, and all the government lackeys dutifully followed right in tow. This, of course, is just one example, but we could conjure up many without a whole lot of thought.

Perhaps one of the best examples of this is climate change, where a Nebuchadnezzarite party, known today as the Democrats, has erected a nice and shiny Green New statue that it likes to shove down our throats every chance it gets. From that annoying Swedish girl who has more failed catastrophe predictions than Hal Lindsey to Electric cars, Impossible Whoppers, and bad Leonardo DiCaprio movies, the pressure campaign has begun, and you are a terrible person if you do not comply. For instance, go buy a diesel F-150, support energy independence and fracking, and refuse to eat Bill Gates' homegrown crickets as a source of climate-approved protein, and you are viewed as a silly Neanderthal who should be excluded from progressive civilization. Or, as Hitlist Hillary once uttered, you should be thrown into a basket of deplorables.

But, as we approach a very consequential election, we must understand where this climate hysteria comes from? Is the world on the brink of an Al Gorian-style catastrophic event? Or not? And why does one particular party, especially the far-left AOC types, shove this agenda down our necks with the subtlety of a serial rapist? And, most importantly, what does the Bible say about these things, and should you vote for a party that so flagrantly denies Scripture and manipulates people for personal gain? These are the things we will be looking at today.

SOME HISTORY OF THE CLIMATE HYSTERIA

In this section, I want to show how the climate crisis has always been a tool of the far left for far too long. With that tool, they have used it like a hammer to whack you over the head, promote pessimism and fear, gain political power, rake in bundles of cash on various farcical climate-saving projects, and how this "New Green Deal" variety of grifters are just the latest round of climate agitators to come along, like Chicken Little, claiming the sky is falling.

The climate crisis has long been a favored tool of the far left, a lever of fear used to drive political agendas, consolidate power, and funnel billions of dollars into various climate-related schemes. From its inception, the narrative has been carefully crafted to create a sense of impending doom, convincing the masses that drastic measures must be taken to avert catastrophe.

In the 1970s, the fear of global cooling took center stage. The media, driven by the same apocalyptic rhetoric we see today, warned of a new ice age. Newsweek ran an infamous cover story proclaiming "The Cooling World," which painted a bleak picture of widespread famines and geopolitical instability. These predictions were, of course, wildly off the mark, but the groundwork was laid for weaponizing climate fear as a political and financial tool.

As the cooling narrative failed to materialize, the focus shifted to global warming in the 1980s and 1990s. The same voices that once warned of an ice age began to claim that the planet was on the brink of overheating. Scientists like James Hansen testified before Congress, sparking widespread fear and laying the foundation for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The far left seized on these warnings, pushing for sweeping regulatory changes and new taxes under the guise of "saving the planet." Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" became the rallying cry for a generation of climate activists while he himself raked in millions from carbon credits and other climate-related ventures.

Consider the examples of those who have cashed in on climate hysteria. After leaving the vice presidency, Al Gore amassed a fortune worth hundreds of millions, much of it tied to his climate activism. He co-founded Generation Investment Management, which heavily invests in companies that benefit from climate policies. Similarly, politicians like John Kerry, who have been deeply involved in climate advocacy, have also seen their wealth balloon. It's not just through direct investments—politicians and their families often benefit from lucrative speaking fees, book deals, and board memberships in green energy companies, all while promoting policies that ensure their financial windfall.

But it's not just the high-profile names. Many politicians come to Washington willing to sell their souls. With a $200k-a-year job, they somehow manage to accumulate hundreds of millions of dollars, often through dubious means. Renewable energy credits and government grants for green initiatives are common channels through which legal government-sponsored money laundering flows into the padded pockets of those who claim to be saving the planet. This money doesn't appear out of thin air—it comes from taxpayers and working-class families who are often the hardest hit by the policies these politicians promote.

The track record of climate predictions is riddled with failures. In the 1970s, predictions of a new ice age gave way to warnings of catastrophic warming. The U.N.'s 1989 prediction that entire nations would be wiped off the map by rising sea levels by the year 2000 turned out to be nothing but a warm fart. It caused a bit of a stink and did raise the temperature temporarily, but like all that came before, it dissipated. Similarly, in 2006, Al Gore famously predicted that the Arctic ice cap would be gone by 2013. Today, the ice is still there, which points to the fact that these climate agitators are more flawed than drunk dispensationalists trying to play "pin the tail on the antichrist" at their annual doomsday parties. Yet, like premillennialism, false climate prophesies keep coming, as we are commanded to trust "the science" and keep funding its professional class of hucksters.

Why is this such a successful grift? Fear is a powerful motivator, and when combined with the promise of moral superiority and the allure of 'saving the planet,' it becomes almost irresistible. The climate movement taps into a deep-seated desire that each of us has to do good, but it channels that desire into supporting policies that benefit a select few. Moreover, the complexity of climate science makes it easy to manipulate data and push narratives that are difficult for the average person to verify. The mainstream media plays a crucial role, uncritically amplifying the voices of climate alarmists while ignoring or discrediting any dissent.

The history of climate hysteria has always been less about saving the planet and more about control and profit. The far left has learned that by perpetuating the narrative of a looming climate catastrophe, they can advance their political agenda, silence dissent, and rake in money hand over fists from taxpayers. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Thus, if you are a Christian, and you are tempted to vote for the democratic party on the basis of Donald Trump's immorality and wanting to be a good steward of the earth that God has given us, you have bought the lie hook line and sinker. All you would be doing is voting for the redistribution of middle-class assets into the hands of the top 1% who know they have sold you a false bill of goods but are whistling all the way to their Cayman Islands bank accounts.

THERE IS NO GOD BUT CLIMATE CRISIS, AND GRETA THUNBERG IS HER PROPHET

As we dive into the mythology of modern-day climate panic, we must acknowledge the figure who has become its most iconic prophet: Greta Thunberg. This sassy little Sweed, who masquerades as a climate aficionado, demands the attention and stammering respect of world leaders and fake news media alike, and ironically, they give it to her. Instead of an unhinged teenager who needed a few more spankings than she got as a child, Greta is often portrayed as the harbinger of an impending environmental apocalypse that is undoubtedly on the horizon. Yet, for the discerning, her proclamations bear that all-too-familiar resemblance to the decree of Nebuchadnezzar, demanding that all bow to the "Green New Statue" of climate hysteria or else. But, unlike Nebuchadnezzar, Greta (and her entire ilk) are too cowardly and pathetic to actually throw anyone into a fiery furnace, which exposes the fact that these are not serious people, which can be demonstrated by the ludicrous murmurings people like her have said.

For instance, high priestess Thunberg has made several radical statements that drip with panic-induced fervor. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2019, she declared, "I don't want you to be hopeful. I want you to panic,"which is a clear call to abandon reason and succumb to an irrational fear. This is not only patently absurd on the surface but clearly runs afoul of the hope and trust in the sovereignty of God that we find permeating the pages of Scripture. In 2 Timothy 1:7, Paul tells us the exact opposite of what Sweden's little she-devil is propagating, saying: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." The Bible does not endorse irrational fear and panic. The Bible calls us to be the sanest, wisest, and most rational people on earth, able to see through the lies and the agenda instead of being caught up by every wind of doctrine (Ephesians 4:14). Thunberg's call to panic is not just misguided; it is a direct challenge to the peace and assurance that comes from faith in God.

Later that same year, Grumpy Greta escalated her rhetoric again, ratcheting up the pressure with statements like, "We are in the beginning of a mass extinction event," which she made during her speech at the United Nations Climate Action Summit in September 2019. To think that the same old Marxist white men who run the United Nations, the same men who hoodwinked the world into believing old white men are inherently evil, are the ones getting rich promoting Sweden's sweetest Siren is laughable at best and exposes how deceived the world has become.

This hyperbolic language of world-ending events is not only unsubstantiated by observable data and natural science but also contradicts the explicit Biblical promises about the stability and endurance of the earth until the very end. Genesis 8:22 assures us, "While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease," which is a promise from Almighty God! The alarmist narrative of a global catastrophe is more akin to the failed prophecies of doomsday cults in independent fundamentalist churches than to any sound environmental science available. As Christians, we reject the notion that the world is teetering on the brink of destruction, knowing that God is in complete control. Also, as postmillennialists, we recognize that Christ's Kingdom is advancing and will ultimately restore all things before the end has come.

Said plainly, we are not expecting the climate to get worse and worse; we are hoping that God will increasingly, through the ministry of His people, subdue the climate and the earth, which was the very first job human beings were given along with populating the earth (Genesis 1:28). The fact that climate swindlers are the same maniacs promoting eugenics and population control, further solidifies them as being against God, and against the most explicit passages in Scripture. Remember, God told us to fill the world with people, be fruitful and multiply, and subdue the world for the glory of God. That is the truth, not the hysteria being promoted by Thuneberg and her cadre of rabble-rousers.

At the same conference, the Jeremiad prophetess lamented, "You have stolen my dreams and my childhood," blaming everyone else on earth for her fantastic delusions. Along with that, weepy G promotes a worldview of discontentment, false accusations, a dishonoring of elders, and a nihilistic schema where everything is going to hell in a handbasket, so we cannot have hope. This is not only foolish but patently unBiblical, as Philippians 4:11-13 reminds us. Instead of hysterical, we are to be content in all circumstances, recognizing that our ultimate hope is in God, not in the ever-shifting sands of human failed predictions. Were this the days of Moses, our little Joan of Arc would have been stoned to death as a liar, national instigator, and a false prophet.

Instead, she is platformed to make such outlandish claims as "Our house is on fire," imagining a scenario where the world will be burned to a crisp in our lifetime by fire. Yet, while Scripture consistently calls us to be wise stewards of the earth, which is undoubtedly important, this kind of rhetoric is nothing more than reactionary fear-mongering meant to manipulate you. As 2 Peter 3:5-10 states, the world will not be destroyed by fire but will be purified by it. Just as God purified the world of evil with water in the Old Testament, the world will be purified by the Holy Spirit's fire in the new covenant so that all the wicked will be purged from the earth, and the world will be purified, along with all the elect of God, like polished gold. The Bible does not envision a climate disaster derailing the plans of Almighty God, which means if you follow this kind of insanity, you are placing more power and authority in the weather charlatans than you are in Almighty God, which seems entirely antithetical to Christianity, right?

Notice, brothers and sisters, when climate gangsta Miss T looks at the politicians and whinily exclaims, "You are failing us," she is placing the burden of saving the planet squarely on the shoulders of incompetent and buffoonish leaders, who often cannot navigate their way out of a paper mache maze. She looks to the ones who hate God, reject a Biblical worldview, and do not care about the climate to fix a catastrophe they invented. The whole charade is a tremendous and elaborate con, and so far, it has been working.

This is precisely why the democratic party has hitched its wagons to such a sensationalistic message. Because they have to get while the getting is good, and over the last 30 years, the getting has been really really good. For instance, the Democratic Party, led by Scamala Harris, is already taking the tried and true playbook of Obama and Biden, using fear to drive policies that will enrich themselves instead of the country. For instance, in the newly released 2024 Democratic Party Platform, which just came out this week, highlights grandiose plans for massive government spending on "clean energy" initiatives, promising to "lower energy costs" and "create clean energy jobs," which will eliminate millions of better-paying jobs in other energy sectors, will bankrupt profitable industries, and will funnel money back into their own pockets as their adept predecessors have done before. If you doubt it, go look it up on that fancy little thing we call the internet, that climate moron Al Gore supposedly created. These policy positions sound noble until you realize what is being made is far less than what is being destroyed. As people, we have to stop falling for the same old tricks and lies before there is no wealth left for them to steal!

The Democrats' climate agenda is described as the "most aggressive climate agenda in history," one that seeks to eliminate all carbon emissions from transportation by 2050 and envisions a future where 50% of all new passenger cars sold in this country are electric by 2030, which will pass along higher prices to the consumer, will fill the world with toxic batteries that are ten times worse for the environment than fossil fuels, and the same massive financial windfalls for the political and corporate elites as every other scam that came before. When the democrats talk about a Green New Deal, they are not talking about improving the climate but adding more greenbacks in their new designer wallets that an unsuspecting country bought and paid for.

And, I think it is important to note that as the Democratic Party becomes increasingly and overtly socialistic, we should not be surprised that lies like climate change are being used to extract resources from the masses. This is par for the communist course, which bankrupts everyone but the elite in every country it has ever been employed. By using the lie of equity, appealing to our inherent greed, a few take everything and leave the rest of us with nothing. This mass financial extraction further widens the gap between the 1% and the populace, who are already suffering under the weight of government-induced inflation and a weaponized tax system that steals from us through legislated theft. As H.L. Menchen once said: "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard."Sadly, if you vote Democrat in the 2024 election, that is precisely what you will receive, policies that rape your bank accounts both good and hard.

There must be a different way. That is why I would like to turn to what Scripture says about climate change before we conclude!

THE BIBLICAL WORLD VS. EARTH WORSHIP

In the grand narrative of Scripture, the world we inhabit is a divine creation, a gift from God, and humanity is appointed as its steward. This stewardship is foundational to the Biblical worldview, rooted in Genesis 1:28, where God commands Adam and Eve to "be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth." This dominion is not a license for exploitation but a call to responsible care, management, and cultivation of the earth, reflecting God's own care and love for His creation.

The Postmillennial Vision of Creation

From a postmillennial perspective, the future is one of hope, restoration, and renewal. The Bible does not depict a world spiraling into catastrophic climate disaster, as the prophets of the climate crisis would have us believe. Instead, it paints a picture of a world gradually being transformed into a new Eden, a paradise where deserts bloom, famines end, poverty is eradicated, and the knowledge of the Lord covers the earth as the waters cover the seas (Isaiah 11:9, Habakkuk 2:14). This vision is far removed from the fear-driven, apocalyptic scenarios championed by today's climate alarmists.

Consider the promises found in the Psalms and the prophets. Psalm 72:16 envisions a time when "there will be abundance of grain in the earth on top of the mountains; its fruit will wave like the cedars of Lebanon." Isaiah 35:1-2 speaks of a time when "the wilderness and the desert will be glad, and the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; like the crocus, it will blossom profusely and rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy." These are not visions of a world in decline but of a world being restored and renewed under the reign of Christ.

The promises of the Messiah include the transformation of the natural world. Isaiah 11:6-9 describes a harmonious creation where "the wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat... They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord." This vision culminates in a world where the curse is reversed, and creation itself is liberated from its bondage to decay (Romans 8:21). It is a vision of healing, not of doom, of life, not of death.

The Challenge of Earth Worship

In stark contrast to this Biblical vision, the climate crisis movement, as espoused by figures like Greta Thunberg and the Democratic Party, promotes a form of earth worship. This idolatry elevates the creation above the Creator, fostering a culture of fear, hopelessness, and panic. The climate alarmists act like Chicken Little, convinced that the sky is falling. In doing so, they paint a picture of human sovereignty over the climate while portraying God as impotent or indifferent to the fate of His creation.

This is not just bad theology; it is outright heresy. The Bible teaches that God is sovereign over all things, including the climate. Job 37:5-13 describes how God directs the weather according to His will: "God thunders with His voice wondrously, doing great things which we cannot comprehend... For to the snow He says, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the downpour and the rain, 'Be strong.'" To act as though humanity can control or catastrophically destroy the climate without God's permission is to elevate human power to the level of divine omnipotence, a clear act of idolatry.

The Role of Christians in Creation Stewardship

This does not mean that Christians should be indifferent to the environment. On the contrary, Biblical stewardship calls us to care for the earth as God's appointed managers. But our approach must be rooted in faith, wisdom, and a Biblical understanding of the world—not in the panic and fear that drive the climate crisis movement.

Christians should be at the forefront of faithful environmental stewardship, grounded in good science and Biblical principles. We should be solving real problems, like the scarcity of clean water in desert regions or the challenges of agriculture in arid climates. Imagine Christians leading efforts to bring rainwater to the deserts, cultivate apple orchards in the Sahara, or develop sustainable irrigation systems in Siberia. This is the kind of positive, proactive, and hopeful engagement with the creation that honors God and fulfills our mandate to subdue the earth.

Rather than succumbing to the doomsday narratives of the climate alarmists, Christians are called to bring life, healing, and flourishing to the world. The panic and death promoted by the Democratic Party and their climate alarmist allies are antithetical to the life-giving, vital work that God has called us to do. Their policies often lead to greater poverty, more suffering, and less hope—especially for the most vulnerable among us. In contrast, the Christian vision is one of abundance, peace, and prosperity for all as God's Kingdom advances on earth.

A Call to Biblical Fidelity

In light of this, it is crucial for Christians to reject the false gospel of climate hysteria and to stand firm in the truth of God's Word. Running from Donald Trump to the climate alarmists is not an act of Biblical fidelity; it is a betrayal of the truth. The Democratic Party's embrace of climate panic is a cynical ploy to gain power and wealth at the expense of the populace, all while cloaking themselves in a veneer of moral superiority. Supporting this agenda is not just foolish; it is a rejection of the Biblical call to faith, hope, and wise stewardship of God's creation.

WHY VOTING FOR THE DEMOCRATS IS A SIN

As the 2024 election approaches, Christians face a moral decision with eternal consequences. The Democratic Party's platform, especially its stance on climate change, is rooted in idolatry, misinformation, fear-mongering, and economic exploitation, all of which stand in direct opposition to the teachings of Scripture. Romans 14:23 states, "Whatever is not from faith is sin." Voting for a party that defies God's laws and promotes policies contrary to Biblical principles cannot be done in good faith. This is not just a political choice; it is a clear act of disobedience to God's commands.

By endorsing the Democratic Party, you align yourself with a platform that elevates creation above the Creator and manipulates science for political gain. Romans 1:32 warns that endorsing sin is as serious as committing it, and Isaiah 5:20 condemns those who call evil good and good evil. The Democratic Party's climate agenda undermines Biblical stewardship and God's sovereignty, demanding that you celebrate their policies as "good" while condemning dissent as "evil." Voting for such a party is a direct affront to God, equating darkness with light.

Christians cannot bow down to the idol of climate hysteria. Just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to Nebuchadnezzar's golden statue, we must reject the fear, panic, and misinformation driving the Democratic Party's climate agenda. Voting for the Democratic Party is not an option for those serious about following Christ. It is a vote for idolatry, the promotion of sin, and the betrayal of Biblical principles. Your vote is not just a political act but a declaration of your allegiance to the King of kings. Choose wisely, for the consequences of that decision will echo into eternity.
